In our initial meeting, we will gather some general information about you, your medical history, family health history, exercise history, eating/dietary habits and lifestyle habits.
An important part of any responsible training program, a fitness assessment objectively measures your current level of physical fitness. Without an effective fitness assessment, growth cannot be accurately measured. Our fitness assessment incorporates many different methods to achieve accurate results.
During our Fitness Assessment, we will measure and record your:
- Body Weight
- Girth Measurements
- Body fat
- Lean Body Mass
- BMI (Body Mass Index)
- Blood Pressure
- Resting Heart Rate
- Physical endurance
- Muscle strength
- Flexibility (Sit and Reach Test)
Once we compile the data, we will then talk about your health risks, make recommendations as to some lifestyle changes and dietary changes, set up your personal goals, and then customize a routine based on the information gathered.
Strength Training/Weight Loss Training
We will guide you through a program that will develop strength and increase endurance and also burn calories to lose unwanted fat. We ensure that workouts don't get repetitive or boring. Depending on your goals, we'll either concentrate on building muscle while supplementing with calorie burning cardio, or concentrate on burning calories to lose weight while working with weights/kettlebells to maintain muscle mass. We will work with you to achieve maximum results. We will combine weights, cardio, and nutrition to give you optimum results.
An important part of the process is tracking results. To maximize your progress, we need to continually monitor and adjust your program. This cannot be done effectively without proper monitoring and ongoing assessments. We can continually tailor your program so that you are getting what you need to achieve your goals.
Together we will develop a plan for healthy eating. We will determine the vitamins and minerals that are required for your optimum health. I will guide you through the process and help you get through hurdles along the way.
For your first workout, we will go through each exercise you will be performing to determine the initial weight, sets, reps, intensity and duration based on the goals you set during the consultation. Once we determine all of the above, we will record each workout session in an exercise journal in order to monitor your progress.
Please set aside at least hour to complete this initial consultation/fitness assessment and at least 1 hour to complete the first workout.
Typical Workout (after first workout)
At each session after the first workout, we will answer any questions or concerns you have from your previous session, make changes to your routine if necessary, assist you with your warm up, keep you motivated throughout your entire routine, monitor your form, intensity, and target heart rate, and insure your workout is being performed in a safe, efficient manner while keeping you on track to meet and exceed your goals.
